The Surprise Day celebration will be held at PAF's headquarters in Islamabad and broadcast live across all media channels. Operation Swift Retort was a quick response to the Indian Air Force attack in Balakot, wiping out Pakistani airspace and damaging only a few trees and a wild crow.

PAF had shot down two Indian fighters, namely the MiG-21 and Su-30, in which former pilot wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman was captured by the Pakistani army after he was safely pushed out and fell on the Pakistani side of the control line.
The day on February 27, 2019 will be remembered in the history of Pakistan and its air force when it quickly returned to a failed Indian Air Force (IAF) surgical strike in Balakot.
27 Feb commemorates resolve of Pakistan Armed Forces against any aggression. The way we responded on this day is a proof that any misadventure by enemies of Pakistan will always be defeated. Our adversaries will be surprised with our bold responses every time.#SurpriseDay

The enemy tried to strike in Pakistan, but the Pakistani Air Force (PAF) gave India a nosebleed and a badly wounded Indian ego. From the successful encounter with two Indian planes to the capture of Indian pilot Abhinandan, it's been two years since Operation Swift Retort.
It is worth remembering that on February 14, 2019, 40 Indian CPRF employees were killed in a false flag operation in Pulwama - a fact that Indian extremist TV host Arnab Goswami accidentally confessed.
India blamed Pakistan for the alleged attack and launched a surgical attack on the night of February 26. In their panic and fear of being captured by PAF fighters, the Indian pilots tossed their ammunition and hurriedly hit back which did no harm but only a few jaws.
The second anniversary of Operation Swift Retort is celebrated today (Feb. 27) as a day of surprise to celebrate the service of the nation's brave officers.
This event also provides an opportunity to celebrate the Indian Air Force breach in the territory. The day is celebrated to pay tribute to the brave Shaheens for their courageous defense of the Motherland as they retaliate for the violation of their territory by the Indian Air Force on February 27, 2019.
"Operation Swift Retort" was a quick response to the Indian Air Force attack in Balakot, in which the enemy breached Pakistani airspace and injured only a few trees.
PAF had shot down two Indian fighter planes, the MiG-21 and Su-30, in which former pilot wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman was also captured by the Pakistani army after he was safely pushed out and fell on the Pakistani side of the control line.
Wing Commander of the Indian Air Force was severely beaten by a mob of local residents before the Pakistani army rescued him and later surrendered him to India as a peace movement. PAF Shaheens demonstrated their strength and dominance in air warfare, letting the even scarier Indian Air Force see the consequences of entering Pakistani airspace.
