PCB announced PSL 5 remaining matches schedule in November

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) today announced the schedule for the remaining four HBL Pakistan Super League 2020 matches, which were postponed on March 17th due to a Covid-19 pandemic.

The four games will be played in Lahore on November 14, 15 and 17, with only Qualifier and Eliminator 1 having a double header. Eliminator 2 will be played the next day, with the event ending on Tuesday, November 17.

Dates will be set after consultation and discussions with the four players - Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi - while starting times will be confirmed closer to the event.

The final four games of the event will be played according to Covid-19 protocols, including a biosafe bubble for players, match officers and event staff. The games would currently be played behind closed doors. However, the situation will be closely monitored and will be reviewed in October.

Wasim Khan, CEO of PCB: “This announcement puts speculation in bed and gives teams complete clarity and plenty of time to plan and prepare for these crunch games.

“At this point, it was important to state our intentions and keep these records in the diary for the benefit of the teams and the tournament.

“The board was eager to host the remaining four matches and believe that an event the size of the HBL Pakistan Super League deserves a winner. We saw the excitement and excitement that led to the match earlier this year and we look forward to promotional activities that will delight fans again.

Hosting the remaining four HBL Pakistan Super League 2020 matches also confirms Pakistan's resilience to overcome difficulties and challenges, regardless of character. PCB plans to host the 2020-21 season, which will feature a series of age group, male and female competitions, as well as international home games against Zimbabwe and South Africa.

“All 2020-21 national season matches will prove to be a catalyst for the successful planning and implementation of HBL Pakistan Super League 2021, which will take place in February / March next year.

Of the four teams represented in the remaining matches of the HBL PSL 2020, only Peshawar Zalmi is a former winner who won the cup in Lahore in 2017. This not only makes these four matches more exciting, but also fills fans with expectation.

HBL PSL 2020, Pakistan's biggest cricket spectacle since the 2008 Asian Cup, has a total of $ 1 million in prize money, including a $ 500,000 winning prize, a stunning brand new trophy and $ 200,000 for second place.
