The government has launched a modern mobile app that focuses on coronavirus policies and SOPs. The Pakpass app is mainly developed for travelers from abroad.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the government launched a technology-based innovative plan to collect information on tests of migrants or emigrants coming to Pakistan from different parts of the world, their movements and their quarantine at home.
In this regard, the PakPass mobile app has been introduced for passengers from other countries. The Pakistani government has stated that all passengers must download the PakPass mobile app and follow the app's instructions. Instructions were also given to airline management, while the CAA's Department of Air issued a formal notification - APP.
The reason for the launch of the mobile app, according to the Civil Aviation Authority, is that passengers arriving in Pakistan must be quarantined for 14 days allowing them to be tracked.
This SOP will be effect from the 3rd July 2020 and fully compliance will be fulfilled by the airline.
The app can collect information on corona testing and home insulation. The airline has issued instructions that when booking tickets, the airline must instruct passengers to download the mobile app via email and that the app must ensure that the app is also available on the passenger's mobile phone at check-in. the counter.

The Civil Aviation Authority prints the link to the mobile app on the boarding pass. When boarding, management also checks the passport number entered in the mobile app along with the passport. Strict precautions are taken against passengers who do not install the mobile app and comply with the CAA guidelines.
According to the instructions, only one person installs the mobile app and passengers without a smartphone at the airport are subject to strict procedures.
