Fawad Chaudhry & IT Minister Aminul Haque against the PUBG ban

Federal Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry has spoken out against the ban on the popular Battle Royale game PUBG Mobile. Asked by a Twitter user, the federal minister said he was against such bans, adding that it would destroy our technology sector.

Fawad Chaudhry also asked IT minister Syed Amin-ul-Haq to take note of the matter and instruct the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) not to impose such bans.

It should be noted that PUBG Mobile was banned in Pakistan on July 1 after the regulator received complaints from all sides. The PTA was later asked to explain the reasons for the decision and to submit a legal written order to the Supreme Court of Islamabad.
