The Pakistani Embassy conducted a placement test for Afghan students on Saturday during the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship 2021 offered by the Pakistan Higher Education Commission (HEC).
The placement test was conducted simultaneously in Kabul, Herat, Jalalabad, Kandhar and Mazar-e-Sharif to accept the majority of the candidates.
Pakistani Ambassador to Afghanistan Mansoor Ahmad Khan noted that the HEC's achievement grants for Afghan students are a good initiative of the Pakistani government.

The ambassador said he was pleased to know that about 22,000 graduates under the Allama Muhammad Iqbal scholarship are participating in 1,000 scholarships, 100 of which are reserved for female students.

He recognized the vital role and support of Pakistan's HEC, Afghan University Department and Embassy officials. He told participants that no one can deny the importance of higher education at this point and hoped that after graduating, they would be lucky enough to contribute to Afghanistan's development and progress once elected.
He also told the candidates that their valuable contribution to nation building would also bring the people of both countries closer together, which is also very important in the current scenario. He believed that this program would provide scholarships to both public and private Pakistani universities at masters, masters and PhD levels.
He went on to say that this program represents a great opportunity for Afghan students who want to improve their skills and contribute their role to the prosperity and progress of the country.
Jahanzeb Khan, project manager of the Afghan scholarship program, told the students that they would benefit from the high-quality education of the leading Pakistani universities and made sure that HEC would fully supervise all successful graduates during their stay in the neighboring country. The ceremony was attended by Afghan higher education officials, HEC Pakistan, embassy officials and other representatives.
