Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) Offers Free Medical Care for Senior Citizens

In an extraordinary and compassionate gesture, the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) has taken a significant step towards ensuring the health and well-being of senior citizens aged 70 years and above.

This remarkable initiative, aimed at offering support to our elderly population, was recently announced through a circular issued by the Medical Superintendent (MS) of RIC, Dr. Javaria Abdullah Malik.

Effective immediately, RIC extends its helping hand to all senior citizens within the specified age group who visit the Outpatient Department (OPD). These individuals will receive medical care of the highest standard absolutely free of cost.

Hassle-Free Diagnostic Tests

To further enhance the convenience of our elderly visitors, RIC has instructed its OPD receptionists to streamline the booking of essential diagnostic tests.

These tests include laboratory examinations, Echo, ETT, TOE, and ECG, and will also be provided completely free of charge.

This generous waiver of fees is subject to verification of the patient's eligibility as a senior citizen through their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).

This initiative underscores RIC's unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch healthcare services to the elderly population residing in Rawalpindi and its surrounding areas. It reflects the institution's deep dedication to promoting the health, happiness, and well-being of the community it serves.

The Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology's decision to provide free medical treatment to senior citizens is a heartwarming example of compassion and dedication to the betterment of society. This noble act ensures that our senior citizens can access the healthcare they need without any financial burden, thereby improving their overall quality of life.
