Punjab Rozgar Program 9 Billion fund allocated says Mian Aslam

Provincial Minister of Industry and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal said on Tuesday that the government had set aside 9 billion rupees for the Punjab Rozgar program.

In the first phase of the program, citizens would receive low interest rates of Rs 500,000 to Rs 1 million to revive pandemic businesses and start a new business, he confirmed.

The decision was taken by the minister as chairman of a meeting of the steering committee.

Iqbal emphasized that in the second phase of the program, the limit for the disbursement of low-interest loans will be increased to 5 million.

The minister added that a transparent mechanism is being developed to provide low-interest loans to citizens.

Punjab Rozgar program, which aims to disburse between half a million and one million rupees in low-interest loans in the first phase.

In the second phase, the limit for disbursing low-interest loans is increased to five million rupees. The approval was given at a meeting chaired by Industry and Trade Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal, along with Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakhat.

The final proposal for the system was previously submitted to the Steering Committee. Addressing those attending the meeting, the minister announced that the PTI government, in partnership with the Bank of Punjab, is launching a mega-soft payout program to revive corona pandemics and start new businesses.

He pointed out that Rs 9 billion. Was earmarked for this mega program in the current financial year. Aslam Iqbal announced the development of a transparent soft loan mechanism.

He stressed that these low interest rates are paid under a transparent system, regardless of political affiliation. The minister stressed that economic activity would increase and new jobs would be created by providing low-interest loans under such a mega program.
