Pakistan team is probably part of the Lanka Premier League

A Pakistan team is probably part of the Lanka Premier League. The dialogue has reached its final stage and a communication is expected in the near future.

According to information, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has been trying to establish its own league. However, the data has changed constantly due to the ongoing coronavirus epidemic.

The tournament includes the Dambulla Hawks, Galle Dolphins, Jaffna Cobras, Colombo Lions and Kandy Tuskers. A total of 23 games will be played, with each team expected to play a minimum of eight and a maximum of ten games.

Sources suggest that a Pakistani team could soon be joining the league if the owners reportedly have a significant amount of cricket skills.

The event takes place in a window between November and December of the current year. The management has put big names like Shahid Afridi from Pakistan, Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez on the top cricketers list.

International players such as AB De Villiers, Eoin Morgan, Yuvraj Singh, Sunil Narine, Lasith Malinga, Angelo Matthews, Irfan Pathan, Chris Gayle, Alex Hales, Shane Watson and Shakibal Hasan can also participate in the tournament.

A total of 30 international cricketers are expected to participate in the competition.

Inclusion of Indian players is subject to the issuance of NOCs by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

It should be noted that SLC has granted a Dubai-based company IPG franchise ownership, media broadcasts and basic sponsorship rights for five years, which sold for $ 11 million.

SLC will receive $ 1.9 million annually for the first two years, up 10 percent over the next three years.

The SLC is responsible for the administration of the site and the judges, while all other activities are handled by the company.
