Pakistan Railways Launches Summer Vacation Special Train Service

In an effort to enhance travel convenience during the summer holidays, Pakistan Railways has introduced the "Summer Vacation Special Train." This special service will operate from Karachi to Rawalpindi, ensuring a comfortable and efficient journey for passengers.

Schedule and Stops

The Summer Vacation Special Train will depart from Karachi at 8:45 PM, making its first stop in Lahore at 3:40 PM the following day. The final destination is Rawalpindi, where the train will arrive at 10:00 PM. For the return journey, the train will leave Rawalpindi at 12:30 PM, stop in Lahore at 6:00 PM, and conclude its trip in Karachi the next day at 2:15 PM.

Accommodation and Capacity

This special train service consists of 17 coaches, providing various accommodation options to passengers. It includes 2 AC Business Class coaches, 2 AC Standard Class coaches, 12 Economy Class coaches, and 1 Power Van. The train can accommodate up to 1,140 passengers, ensuring a comfortable journey for all.

Inaugural Run and Frequency

The inaugural run of the Summer Vacation Special Train from Rawalpindi to Karachi is scheduled for July 5 at 12:30 PM. Following this, the train will depart every alternate day, making a total of 14 stops along its route. This initiative aims to cater to the increased travel demand during the summer season.
