Former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi won the battle against the new coronavirus (COVID-19) when he made the announcement through his social media platform.
The 40-year-old had tested positive for the deadly beetle on June 13 last month and has been self-insulating ever since.
Afridi wrote on Twitter about the recovery: “Alhamdulillah [thank God], my wife and daughters Aqsa and Ansha have retested after our previous positive results for Covid-19 and are now ready. Thank you all for your continued good wishes and may the Almighty bless you and yours. Now back to family time; I did not hold him.

Afridi represented Pakistan between 1998 and 2018 with 27 samples, 398 International Days International Tournaments (ODIs) and 99 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

Afridi was the fifth cricketer known to be infected coronavirus disease, afridi got the virus while his ration distribution campaign across the country.
