Pakistan to Award Ali Baba founder Jack Ma with Civil Award

Pakistan awards civilian awards to four Chinese nationals, including philanthropist and founder of e-commerce giant Ali Baba Jack Ma for their services to the country.

The President's House announced on Friday the names of 184 Pakistani and foreign nationals who will receive civilian awards for excellence and courage in their respective territories.

Earlier this year, Jack Ma had donated face masks, test kits, protective equipment and forehead thermometers to Pakistan to aid the country's fight against the coronavirus.

According to a statement by the cabinet secretariat, President Nishan-i-Imtiaz has assigned seven people; Hilal-i-Imtiaz for two people; Hilal-i-Quaid-i-Azam for four; Hilal-i-Quaid-i-Azam to one;

Sitara-i-Quaid-i-Azam for six; Sitara-i-Pakistan for two ,Sitara-i-Shuja'at to 24; Sitara-i-Imtiaz to 27,Presidential Award for Pride of Performance at 44, Sitara-i-Khidmat to one;

Tamgha-i-Pakistan into one; Tamgha-i-Shuja'at to 23 , Tamgha-i-Imtiaz to 46 and Tamgha-i-Quaid-i-Azam to one person.

Famous artists Saqiquen Naqvi, Ahmed Faraz, Zahoorul Haq, Muhammad Jameel Khan, Dr. Jameel Jalbi, folk singer Abida Parveen and Zahoorul Haq will receive Nishan-i-Imtiaz.

Religious scholar and pastor Maulana Tariq Jameel receives the President's Prize for Performance Award.

Bushra Ansari, Talat Hussain, Farooq Qaiser, Naeem Bukhari and cricketer Abdul Qadir (late) are awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz.

Sakeena Samon, Naimat Sarhadi, Humayun Saeed, Ali Zafar and Pashto singer Mahjabin Qazalbash, among others, have been selected for the President's Award for the Achievement Award.

The investment ceremony for the aforementioned awards will take place on March 23, 2021.
