The government of Pakistan has introduced a ‘green selfie’ feature in the Corona Tiger Relief Force (CRTF) program, which allows volunteers to upload their photos on a plantation tour across the country.

“Tiger Force volunteers will set a record by planting a million seedlings a day,” it said in a statement by Prime Minister’s Special Assistant (SAPM) on youth affairs, Usman Dar, on Friday.

Prime Minister Imran Khan set up the CRTF in March after the country’s Covid-19 outbreak to assist civil administration in carrying out coronavirus-related activities.

Later he was assigned additional duties related to tree plantations, anti-dengue and anti-polio campaigns, grasshopper monitoring, traffic management, flood protection and other matters that required more personnel.

According to the Prime Minister’s assistance, the force consists of more than 600,000 volunteers who he claims have effectively performed duties in quarantine centers, field hospitals, mosques, and other places to comply with standard procedures (SOPs) designed to prevent Covid-19 pandemics. implement.

The statement said the government had started preparations for Tiger Force Day, which is expected to be celebrated after Eidul Azha.

He also soon met PM Imran to discuss the role of volunteers in planting 10 million seedlings.
