The Prime Minister's Special Assistant for Social Protection and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Sania Nishtar, said on Friday that approximately 33 Ehsaas Nashonuma centers would be established in 9 districts across the country.
During her two-day trip to Rajanpur and Multan, she said such centers would be set up in the first phase of the Ehsaas Nashonuma program in Khyber, Upper Dir, Bagh, Ghizr, Hunza, Kharmang, Kharan, Badin and Rajanpur.

She said the program was officially launched on August 13, 2020 by Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Nashonuma Center in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Khyber Tribal District.
"Ehsaa's Nashonuma program will focus on improving nutrition and health during the first thousand days of childhood, the most critical stage of early childhood development that begins with conception and ends at age two" , she said.
In a statement published here, she said that the nutritional status of newborns and infants is directly related to the maternal health and nutritional status before, during and after pregnancy.
"The budget for Ehsaa's Nashonuma three-year program has been set at Rs 8.22 billion," said Dr. Sania and added that all funding for this program is provided by the government.
The quarterly grant will be awarded along with the provision of healthy food to deserving recipients, she added.
An amount of Rs. There are 2000 Nashonuma quotas allocated to girls per quarter and Rs. 1,500 for boys and to ensure transparency in the disbursement of such funds, an investigation is underway nationwide as part of Ehsa's NSER, she said.
During the two day visit, Sania Nishtar will also visit Langarkhana and Ehsa's Kafalat Center under construction in Multan.
Ehsaas Langarkhanas will be set up across the country as part of a public-private partnership, she said.
