Pakistan Skipper Babar Azam to Play in Ramadan Cricket Tournament in Lahore
Pakistan's national cricket team captain Babar Azam, who has been given rest during the ongoing Afghanistan T20I series, will showcase his talent in the upcoming Ramadan cricket tournament in Lahore. The tournament's director, former Test cricketer Salman Butt, revealed that the event will feature several national stars, making it one-of-a-kind.
Exciting Team Line-Ups
Sources indicate that Babar Azam will lead the Ghani Institute of Cricket (GIC) in the tournament. His team will include top players like Shadab Khan, Hussain Talat, Usama Mir, and Abbas Afridi. Other popular teams include Khawar Properties with Hassan Ali, Asif Ali, Arshad Iqbal, Mir Hamza, Haseebullah, and Irfan Niazi. The Karachi Warriors will have Imam-ul-Haq, Bilal Asif, and Ghani Glass with Ihsanullah, Salman Ali Agha, Umaid Asif, Tayyab Tahir, and Azam Khan.
Blackstone Bahadurs will feature Sharjeel Khan, Mohammad Amir, and Aamer Yamin. H.B. Lal will showcase Usman Qadir, Waqas Maqsood, Aamir Jamal, and Salman Irshad, while Eshal Associates will have Khushdil Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Umar Akmal. Center of Excellence will include Mohammad Irfan and Ahsan Ali, and Team Raja Sahib will feature Imran Butt, Bilawal Bhatti, and Abid Ali.
Competitive Tournament with Nine Teams
As many as nine teams will compete in this exciting tournament, and the event's schedule will be announced soon. Notably, players representing Pakistan against Afghanistan will return to Lahore to participate in the event after the conclusion of the ongoing T20I series, which ends on March 27. Afghanistan took a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series on March 24 after winning the first match.
