$1 Million Aid: Is America pretending to care for Pakistan?
Pakistan, a third world country where millions of people live on daily wages, where unemployment is on peak and a country that has a current account deficit of 607 USD million.
The economy of Pakistan was in crisis from long ago, it has faced a lot of obstacles in the shape of democracy, however, dictatorship has also eaten the country from ages.
Pakistan was already in a crisis, the economical, environmental and political crisis, then out of nowhere, suddenly the hit of coronavirus just boosted the destruction of this country.
Because of the lockdown, the economy is in danger, every business is in downfall, manufacturing, sport, transport, retail, etc. and the most affected are people who earn on a daily basis.
In this time of crisis, all Pakistan need is help. Although all the other countries are facing the outcomes too the expectation of third world countries is in the first world countries because they are rich countries.
The idea of their richness can be clearly identified when we look at the recent events of the U.S. The U.S has issued a relief fund for the country and its people. The fund is a whopping 2.2 trillion USD.
This number shows the power of the country. This number is what Pakistan can never even think of because the entire economy of Pakistan is a total of 340 billion USD. So, technically, the USA just gave away Pakistan’s 6 to 7 year’s entire accumulative GDP in just a glance.
This country, USA, gave an Aid of $1 million USD. Is this really an Aid? The economy of 340 billion dollars is shattered by the hit of coronavirus, and then this $1 million Aid is what would help?
Trump when elected and held the office said that he is going the end the US AID because Pakistan has done nothing and is just getting the money they don’t deserve.
On the other hand Pakistan has faced a lot of situations because of the US. Pakistan fought side by side with the Taliban, who had nothing to do with Pakistan but were enemy to the US, and because of that Pakistan faced a lot of troubles and retaliation from the Taliban.
Now you choose, is the Aid of $1 million USD from America a help, or is this another trick by America to pretend that they helped Pakistan in the time of crisis.
