Zia Ullah Bangash Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's adviser on science, technology and information technology has announced that Facebook would like to launch a number of projects in Pakistan.
Bangash said they had an important meeting with Sehar Tariq, Facebook's representative. He said that, as part of CM KP's vision, the province fully supported the social media platform.
He said that, following instructions from CM KP, they offered Facebook to open their Pakistani office in the province and pledged to provide full support in doing so.

He said during the meeting with Facebook, they pledged to review the legislation causing problems for Facebook and other social media platforms.
“We should support platforms such as Google, YouTube and Facebook, as many of our young people are connected to them,” he said.
Bangash said they are in talks with Facebook to generate revenue in Pakistan. More than 50 million Pakistanis use the social media platform, according to Facebook officials.

Bangash said National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser will meet with Facebook officials next week, along with IT ministry and officials. “I am confident that Asad Qaiser and his team will address the regulatory issues that will benefit the platform,” he said.
Days ago, it was revealed that KP plans to build two pilot hydropower mines to exploit a bullish global cryptocurrency market.
"People have already approached us for investment and we want them to come to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to make some money and let the province do the same," Bangash said.
Bangash said KP govt will also establish IT parks in tribal areas of KPK to facilitate the peoples of rural areas as recently announced 3G and 4G services are going to start in these areas.
