Shan Massod becomes first Pakistani crickter who scores the century after 1996, Pakistani opener Shan Masood was the sixth cricketer in the Pakistan Test to score three rounds in a row in the first Test against England in Manchester.

Shan Masood is the first Pakistani opener to hit a century in England in the 21st century. Most recently Saeed Anwar, who scored 176 points in the oval in 1996.

Additionally, Australia's Chris Rogers was the first overseas opener to reach a century in the first innings of a Test in England since 2015.

Shan Masood continued his 135 against Sri Lanka in Karachi and 100 against Bangaldesh in Rawalpindi with a ton against England on the second day of the opening test.

For Masood, Asian Bradman Zaheer Abbas 1982-83 against India, 1983 against Mudassar Nazar, 1983 against India, 2006 against Mohammad Yousaf against the Caribbean, 2014 against Younis Khan against Australia and 2014 against Misbahul Haq against Australia and New Zealand reached milestones .

Shan Masoods Hundred was also the first of a Pakistani opener in England since previous opener Saeed Anwar in 1996.

Moreover, Shan Masood is only the second player after Vinod Kambli, who has tested against three different teams for three centuries.

Pakistan resumed their first round of 139/2 on day two, but was soon stopped by England with wickets from Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq and Mohammad Rizwan in the first session.
