In a series of meticulously executed intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across different regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security forces successfully neutralized 13 terrorists, according to an official statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The first operation took place in the Khulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan, where security forces engaged with heavily armed militants.
In a fierce exchange of fire, five terrorists were gunned down, including a high-profile operative, Shah Gul alias Rohani. This individual was reportedly involved in orchestrating multiple terror attacks targeting both security forces and civilians.
Major Success in North Waziristan – Five Terrorists Killed
Security forces extended their counter-terrorism efforts to North Waziristan, conducting simultaneous raids in the Dosali and Tapia areas. These well-coordinated operations led to the elimination of five additional terrorists, who were actively planning subversive activities in the region.
The operation was based on actionable intelligence, allowing security forces to engage with and eliminate the suspects before they could execute their planned acts of violence.
During the course of these operations, security forces recovered a substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the eliminated terrorists. The seized arsenal included:
- Automatic rifles
- Hand grenades
- Explosives and detonation devices
- Communication equipment
- Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs)
These findings underscore the magnitude of the threat posed by these militants and highlight the importance of proactive counter-terrorism efforts.
Ongoing Clearance Operations to Eliminate Remaining Threats
While the recent IBOs mark a significant victory against terrorism, security forces remain vigilant as clearance operations continue to ensure that no remaining elements of these terrorist groups persist.
