The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant (SAPM) for Poverty Reduction and Social Protection, Dr. Sania Nishtar, said on Thursday that as per the Phase 2 of Ehsaas Program ,70 percent of the Ehsaas program socio-economic and poverty survey has been completed and the deserving people have been relieved accordingly.
At a press conference on Thursday, she said the poverty survey was conducted in all districts and regions of Punjab, while data collection had started last week and would be completed by June 30, 2021. Dr. Sania said it was a digital survey that could not be conducted.
Ehsaas has another program to help the deserving students, Ehsaas Scholarship program ,SAPM Sania Nishtar met on Thursday with the awarded students of Ehsaas Scholarship program.

The investigation teams collected data from the families on the doorstep and added it to the Ehsaas program using digital applications and devices on site. The study, she said, was based on target grant through overhaul of the grant mechanism.
She ruled out any form of discrimination in the data collection and said the survey would be conducted regardless of caste, ethnic, religious or political affiliation. She said that on the basis of the study, there will be financial support for deserving families through the Ehsaas Kafalat program, elementary school scholarships for high school students, Ehsaas Amdan and interest-free loans, etc.
The study ensured complete fairness, transparency and fairness. SAPM Dr. Sania also urged media organizations to do their part in raising public awareness of the survey, saying it was a voluntary and free process.
That’s why people need to work with the research teams. She added that the respective district administrations, in conjunction with secretarial training courses, mobilized volunteer teachers to conduct the survey, an after-school activity.
Dr. Sania Nishtar said effective measures have been taken to deter the scammers who are deceiving the innocent by sending them fake SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media messages about the Ehsaas program and coins from them to record them in / register in Ehsas data. . “Once we find such activity, we will block their SIM card, cell phone, WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media IDs,” she added.
In June of this year, seven million families would benefit from the initiatives of the Ehsaas program. They claimed that it is the government’s responsibility to provide social protection for the people, and “we in the Ehsaas program are doing everything we can to make this sacred cause a reality, all honestly and transparently.
She later answered journalists’ questions and said that 3.8 million deserving families had been identified and that CNIC numbers had been received from 2.2 million women, 1.8 million of whom were CNIC valid, and that the government had received these 1 , 8 million families had received immediate relief.
Meanwhile, deserving families with invalid CNICs were sent text messages to receive new ones or to renew their CNICs to gain support from Ehsaa’s programs. When asked, Dr. Sania Nishtar said people would receive financial assistance under the Ehsaas Program shortly after the survey, noting that the Prime Minister recently launched the Ehsaas Program initiative in Kalar Saidan, Sahiwal and South Waziristan after the end of the poverty poll in these areas.
She said a text message has been sent to 200,000-280,000 needy / deserving people who participate in the Ehsaas program every day asking them to collect their payments under the Ehsaas program. In response to another question, she clarified that the Ehsaas program received a budget from the Treasury and had no direct link with a foreign donor.
Prime Minister Imran Khan appreciated the Sania Nishtar and her Ehsaas team for doing the good work,helping people the needy one’s he added.
