Islamabad to mark four areas for cattle markets outside the city

-

The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration led by the National Command Operation Center (NCOC) and the district judge have decided to set up four small livestock markets outside of Eid ul Azha before the city.

According to sources, the ICT administration will set up four small livestock markets in Rawat, Tramri, Bara Kahu and Tarnol.

Livestock markets have been set up outside the city to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 and Congo viruses within the city limits.

According to sources, the ICT administration has completed the auction plan for the markets. If the administration cannot receive a quote, the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) will set up the markets with the help of union councils.

Plans to create an internal market in sector I-11 were previously considered, but were later withdrawn due to concerns that a larger market could increase the proliferation of Covid-19.

The ICT administration has also developed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the livestock markets to limit the spread of the corona virus.

According to the SOPs, disinfection tunnels, restaurants and catering services are not allowed on the markets. In addition, the access of children and the elderly is prohibited.
