Pakistan is improving except sindh in coronavirus says Asad Umar

Pakistan's Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Minister Asad Umar said on Friday that while the overall coronavirus situation in the country has improved, there has been a significant lack of improvement in Sindh, especially in the provincial capital of Karachi.

At a news conference in Islamabad, the minister said the number of deaths, hospital patients and respiratory patients has decreased, Dawn said.

Umar acknowledged this development after taking precautions to limit the spread of the virus, saying that if this continues, the situation in the country will continue to improve.

"However, there is only one area where we don't see much improvement, namely in Sindh, especially in Karachi," he said.

He claimed that the National Command and Operations Center team met the provincial secretary general and provincial health minister and took over the results in Sindh as in the rest of the country.

He also urged citizens to be aware that improvement can only be seen if they take precautions.

"Don't understand that the pandemic will go away on its own and you can do whatever you want," he warned, adding that not preventing it could lead to an increase in the number of cases.

"I have previously warned that if we don't intervene or take preventative measures, our cases could reach $ 1.2 million by the end of July, but because people are taking precautions and the administration is intervening (things have improved)," Umar said.
