HED Punjab E-transfer system launched by PITB and HED

The Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) introduced an e-transfer mobile application for public college teachers at a ceremony at the Arfa Kareem IT Tower. The e-transfer system has been developed in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

Speaking at the ceremony, Higher Education Minister Raja Yassir said the Department of Higher Education is moving transfers and secondments of university teachers in the province to the e-transfer system as of today.

“This newly introduced system would solve the problems faced by university teachers and discourage Sifarish culture (recommendations). More than fifteen thousand teachers from 700 colleges in Punjab would benefit from this e-transfer system, ”said Raja Yasir.

The higher education minister added that data automation would also help eradicate corruption. He said the e-transfer policy would ensure transparency and profit in transfers and secondments of university teachers.

He added that the PTI government is strongly committed to transparency and corruption-free systems in all areas of life. In the past, teachers had encountered a number of problems during the referral and secondment process.

The minister said that an automated system not only guarantees transparency, but also saves time for university professors and ensures that now every referral through a transparent system only relates to revenue. He also said that teachers did not have to move to department offices or influential offices to receive recommendations about their transfers.

You can submit your application online from your own location by downloading the e-transfer app from the Google Playstore. "This electronic transfer system would ensure transparency and a culture of profit during the secondment process of university teachers in Punjab," he said.

PITB said the calculation criteria are based on education, years of service and experience, etc. with a minimum of human intervention. PITB has announced that the filings will be open from August 18, while transfer orders will begin a week after.

“E-Transfer was developed in collaboration with PITB and is available around the clock. It offers a real-time dashboard and online tracking. The app provides full transparency and significant time and cost savings through various options, including standardization of transfer and approval processes, ”said PITB in a tweet.

In Punjab there are 780 colleges crowded with 13,000 teachers, the E transfer application will be applicable for 36 Districts of Punjab.

The Punjab Higher Education Minister Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfraz, HED Special Secretary Naeem Ghous, DG IT, Waqar Naeem Quresh, Muhammad Waqar Qureshi from PITB and HED Deputy Secretary Muhammad Talha attended the ceremony.
