The Minister of State for National Health Services, Mukhtar Ahmad Malik, recently informed the National Assembly that despite receiving polio vaccinations, 75 children have still contracted the disease.

In an effort to enhance healthcare infrastructure, Mukhtar Ahmad Malik also announced the establishment of a new 1,100-bed hospital in Islamabad’s I-11 sector.

Amid the ongoing challenges in polio eradication, the government has introduced needle-free injection technology as part of its latest campaign.
This initiative will focus on providing state-of-the-art treatment and rehabilitation services for stroke patients, ensuring better recovery outcomes and reducing the long-term impact of strokes.
In addition to the stroke center, the government has planned to establish two new hospitals. A 200-bed emergency hospital, expected to be fully operational by June 2025.
Pakistan Railways Reports 537 Accidents in Five Years
During the National Assembly session, MPA Sharmila Faruqi revealed shocking statistics regarding Pakistan Railways, reporting 537 train accidents over the past five years.
