Six out of ten Pakistani cricketers destined for England who tested positive for COVID-19 have now recorded negative results when retested, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said Saturday.
However, Mohammad Hasnain, Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz have yet to score negative again before they can join the 20-strong main team that will be going to England on Sunday.
These players were asymptomatic, meaning their chances of getting fully fit are greater and better than most," Wasim Khan, PCB's executive director, said in a statement.
Once these players have tested negative twice during the PCB testing process, they will be flown to England to join the program list.

Kashif Bhatti, Haris Rauf, Haider Ali and Imran Khan again tested positive.
Pakistan is expected to play three friendly matches and three T20 caps behind closed doors from August to September, although exact dates and locations have not yet been announced.
After reaching Manchester on Sunday, players will undergo COVID-19 testing before moving to Worcestershire for a 14-day isolation period, the circuit said.
Test captain Azhar Ali and skipper Babar Azam are joined in the first group of players by national coach Misbah-ul-Haq.
Fast bowling coach Waqar Youni travels from Australia to England, while Twenty20 specialist Shoaib Malik was allowed to enter India late after meeting his family.
Since the test series first aired in August, Misbah has been happy with the group of players traveling on Sunday, as the focus will be on preparing the red ball," added the PCB director.
