The Sindh Education Department has officially announced the winter vacation schedule for public and private schools and colleges throughout the province. These holidays aim to provide a seasonal break to students, teachers, and administrative staff.
Winter Vacation Date for Sindh Students
According to the department’s notification:
- Start Date: December 21, 2024
- End Date: December 31, 2024
- Reopening Date: January 1, 2025 (Wednesday)
The decision was finalized during the Sub-Committee meeting of the Steering Committee on Education, chaired by the Minister for Education Sindh earlier this year.
The vacation schedule applies to:
- Public Educational Institutions: All government-administered schools and colleges.
- Private Educational Institutions: Schools and colleges under private management but regulated by the provincial education department.
The Sindh Education Department ensures that students and staff get time to rejuvenate during the colder months of the year. This break helps:
- Enhance student focus and energy for the upcoming term.
- Offer teachers a chance to plan for the new academic session.
Parents and students are reminded to prepare for the resumption of academic activities from January 1, 2025, as institutions will reopen promptly on this date.
