Sindh announced Smartcards for Vehicles instead of Books

-

The government in Sindh has decided to issue smart cards instead of vehicle registration books, the implementation of which will begin in two to three weeks.

Provincial minister Mukesh Chawla informed about the steps taken by the provincial government with regard to the registration certificate and the safety function mark.

The provincial minister of excise and tax said the chip card would contain all the vehicle owner's and vehicle tax documents, which would also prepare security features in vehicles and license plates.

During the meeting, he said that a taxable facility would soon be built in the new building.

Meanwhile, Mukesh Chawla said that Sindh excise and tax has reached the goal of more than 100 percent tax collection in fiscal 2019-20, despite the difficult situation with coronavirus.
