Introduction to the New Grading System

Details of the Average Labeling System
The average labeling system is designed to provide a comprehensive evaluation of students’ performance. The system is divided into two categories: 9th and Intermediate Part I students, and 10th and Intermediate Part II students.
9th and Intermediate Part I Students
Students who had not yet passed the exams in 9th and 11th grade were promoted to the next classes. This decision applies to both ordinary and private students. The students will not have to take a composite exam in 2021 and will only appear in the exams in the second part for the respective certificates next year. To receive promotions, students must perform well next year, as their grades for that year depend on performance at next year’s exams.
10th and Intermediate Part II Students
10th Class and Intermediate Part II students are promoted to passing grades based on their performance in previous years. Only students with satisfactory performance will be promoted in previous years. The minister found that only three percent of last year’s results were used to calculate numbers for this year.
Students Who Failed and Improvers
The Minister of Education has announced that students who have completed less than 40 percent of the subjects (in the 9th and 11th grade) will be promoted to the next cader with passing marks. He also announced plans to run special tests for students to improve their first year results.
