Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Final Update on Ramadan Moon Sighting

-

Peshawar, February 28 – The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee convened in Peshawar on Friday to sight the Ramadan moon, but due to unfavorable weather conditions, no credible testimonies were received from any part of the country.

As a result, the first fast of Ramadan 2025 will be observed on March 2.

Additionally, zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee members from Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, and Quetta participated in the session.

This year, cloudy skies and adverse weather across various regions made it difficult to observe the crescent moon.

Based on these factors and the lack of verified testimonies, the committee officially declared that Ramadan will begin on March 2, 2025.
