Punjab Police adopts a digital leave and attendance system

The police inspector, Punjab, inaugurated the "leave and attendance management system" a system developed by the PITB for the weekly duties and rest of police personnel at the central police station.

DIG Operations Sohail Sukhera and DIG IT have informed IG Punjab about the features of the new system.

Sohail Sukhera said the leave and Attendance Management System is integrated with the Police Central Database, Personal Management Information System (HRMIS) and Police Station Record Management System (PSRMS) and that this modern automated system will create the weekly rest schedule for everyone police stations or an attending employee.

According to the "weekly rest schedule", each officer is notified before leaving the system. DIG IT announced that the profile of the leave holder will be deactivated on the day of his leave and that an inspector or SHO and Muharrar cannot impose any duty on him.

IG praised the "vacation and attendance management system" and said the system would bring more transparency to the operating system and address the problem of weekly vacation workers.

He said that the implementation of SOPs and guidelines issued in the modern "vacation and attendance management system" for weekly rest periods must be assured in any case and that any inspector who violates the SOPs must be held accountable.
