PTI Govt devoted for Technology sectors uplifting|Fawad Chaudryy

Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry said the Pakistan Tehreek Insaf government is doing everything it can to develop the technology sector.

Speaking to media representatives on Saturday, the minister said, "We will work with China to educate people in semiconductor technology."

He said the country could develop rapidly with the development of science and technology. He stressed the need for a national environment in which politics encourages technological innovation and exploration of new ideas.

He highlighted recent initiatives, including a new national drone policy and the creation of a National Technology Regulatory Committee.

He said the unprecedented changes in speed, accuracy and range of new technologies require more efficient and robust application for sustainable development today than ever before.

He said the civil and military interface was created for the first time in the country's history and they are now sharing their research, he added.

He said Pakistan was importing medical equipment when the first wave of Covid-19 hit the country, but it is now one of 18 countries producing fans.

Fawad said it is important to keep an eye on technological developments and see which companies have good market share and which are outdated.

He said that 5G technology would be a major revolution and added that the country needs a stable internet to take advantage of the technological development.

The minister said the country's future is related to technology and added that the fusion between technology and biotechnology is crucial.
