Pompak Learn to Earn financial Game launched by SBP

POMPAK Learn to Earn a digital financial game launched by the collaboration of State Bank of Pakistan and Knowledge Platform (Pvt).

Knowledge Platform (Private) Limited, Pakistan's leading educational technology company, is once again partnering with the National Financial Literacy Program for Young People (NFLP-Y), a project of the State Bank of Pakistan. The knowledge platform acts as NFLP-Y's digital marketing partner for PomPak - Learn to Earn - the country's leading financial competence game launched by the State Bank of Pakistan.

The State Bank of Pakistan initiates and implements the National Economic Literature Program for Young People (NFLP-Y) in collaboration with the National Institute of Banking & Finance (NIBAF).

The aim of this program is to provide school children and young people with basic financial training that will help them improve their money management skills and improve their understanding of financial affairs.

Downloaded by more than 80,000 users within weeks, PomPak - Learn to Serve is a free, engaging and interactive game designed to improve Pakistani youth and schoolchildren's financial understanding skills.

PomPak captures a story by following the journey of two families starting a small business. This story-based story keeps users engaged and offers financial skills such as budgeting, savings, banking and lending.

PomPak is published in both English and Urdu, taking into account the diverse audience of Pakistan. It is available for three age groups: children (9-12 years old); Youth (13-17); and youth (18-29).

Anyone who completes the course will receive a prestigious certificate of financial literacy from a State Bank of Pakistan project. It can be played on the desktop or downloaded from Google Play and the App Store.

As part of their digital partnership, Knowledge Platform has volunteered to promote PomPak - Learn to Serve - across its large network of educational institutions and partners. Knowledge Platform is Pakistan's leading ed tech company working with more than 750 schools and 270,000 students.

The knowledge platform's diverse K12 product portfolio includes solutions for schoolchildren, teachers, school leaders and schools, all of whom focus on quality education and training.

Two years ago, according to PPRA best practices, the Knowledge Platform was commissioned to advise on the National Financial Literacy Program for Youth (NFLP-Y). Since then, the knowledge platform NFLP-Y has helped design and develop its full-fledged curriculum for financial literacy, including three workbooks, teacher training and PomPak - Learn to Serve.

The game attracted 80,000 Pakistani teens within weeks, making it the best educational game ever in Pakistan. This is based on over 300,000 in-person training courses for three age groups who used financial knowledge workbooks prior to the COVID pandemic.

The social mission of the knowledge platform is to provide high-quality education to all Pakistani students in the 21st century. This digital partnership offers a great opportunity to improve the economic literacy of children and young people in Pakistan.
