PM to give special Pacakage for small farmers

Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Sunday that his government would soon announce a special package for smal farmers when the proposals were approved by a subcommittee of the federal cabinet.

The Prime Minister explained this when speaking to members of the National Assembly (MNAs) from South Punjab, Dir and Swat. The meeting also discussed in detail the special package for farmers and the South Punjab Secretariat.

Speaking to MNAs from southern Punjab, the Prime Minister said that southern Punjab has been neglected in the past and people have not been given equal opportunities in education, health and employment.

He said previous governments ignored the southern Punjab region and discriminated against people on education, health and employment. The meeting, which focused on the South Punjab Secretariat and the farmers' special package, was attended by Malik Amir Dogar, the Prime Minister's special assistant for political affairs, and MNAs Aurangzeb Khan Khichi and Nur Muhammad Khan Bhabha.

The Prime Minister said that the purpose of establishing the South Punjab Secretariat is to pay particular attention to the development of the southern districts of Punjab. Aurangzeb Khichi made a proposal to set up a cadet school in Vehari.

The Prime Minister was also briefed by MNAs van Swat and Dir about the situation and the development of law and order in their respective areas. MNA Bashir Khan informed the Prime Minister about job creation for the local population in dams under construction in Dir.

He also informed the Prime Minister about promoting tourism in Swat, which has also had a positive impact on people's lives. He also briefed the prime minister on issues in his constituency and steps for the common good.
