Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to extend its relief efforts to return Pakistanis stranded abroad during the coronavirus pandemic. The decision was made after PALPA ended the strike and several pilots volunteered to participate in special flight operations to evacuate stranded Pakistanis.
PALPA ( Pakistan Airlines Pilot Association) Call a strike for the flight operation, as two pilots were confirmed with COVID-19 infection and some other crew members.
Directives were issued in this regard because the PIA administration asked expatriates who wanted to return to contact the airline. PIA also released today a revised flight plan that launched a flight to repatriate captured Pakistanis to Denmark.
In addition, three emergency flights will take place on April 11, 2020 to return stranded Pakistanis from Azerbaijan, Malaysia and Singapore. More than 170 people have been stranded in Kuala Lumpur for more than three weeks.
