According to the letter, Pakistan Railways has asked the IT department to allow NTC to host PR E services in the National Data Center by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pakistan Railways.

In their letter, Railways also reported that on January 25, 2021, they asked the National Telecommunication Corporation for their online reservation requests. NTC provided the requested “war-based” data center services to the Pakistani Railways.

Pakistan Railways pre-booking and e-ticket application is currently running through the National Data Center. Two weeks ago, after a system crash, Pakistan Railways asked the NTC to improve its e-ticket, financial and personnel systems.

In response, the NTC restored the system by deploying its own infrastructure through its national data center in less than 24 hours. The NTC team remains in constant coordination with the railways to restore all services, the railways said in the letter.
