Pakistan Interior Ministry Slashes the Passport Fee’s

The Directorate – General for Immigration and Passports of the Interior Ministry announced on Wednesday that it has reduced passport costs with immediate effect.

According to a related announcement , a five-year passport totaling 36 pages now costs Rs 3,000. Meanwhile, Rs 5,000 is being charged for emergency services.

There is a fee of Rs 5,500 set for passports valid for five years and 72 pages while emergency services are charged Rs 9,000. A five-year 100-page passport now costs Rs 6,000. An urgent fee for the same passport has been set at Rs 12,000.

The memo goes on to say that passports with a validity period of 10 years and 36 pages cost Rs 4,500 while urgent passports are issued for Rs 7,500. With that in mind, a passport with a validity of 10 years and a total of 72 pages costs Rs 8,250, while an urgent service charge for it is Rs13,500.

For 10-year passes of 100 pages, the normal fee is set at Rs 9,000, while an urgent service charge for this is Rs 18,000. The revised rates will apply from February 17, 2021, the statement said.

For Overseas Pakistan has also launched an online passport renewal service ,The Overseas Pakistanis now can apply for renewal of their passports through online passport renewal facility for whose passports have expired or going to expire within next 07 months.
