US multinational technology company IBM is launching the Open P-Tech learning platform in Pakistan, said Tania Aidrus, Prime Minister of Digital Pakistan's special assistant.
"IBM launches Open P-TECH in Pakistan to develop talent and provide them with technical and professional knowledge in AI, IT, cybersecurity, cloud, etc. This will enable our employees to have a digital Pakistan," said Aidrus in a Tweet messages.

Open P-TECH is IBM's free digital education platform that focuses on workplace learning and digital skills.
"As the pandemic accelerates digital transformation, new learning methods need to keep pace with all young people with skills relevant to the digital age and the market," said Ginni Rometty, CEO of IBM in May.

“On the one hand, this is a great challenge, on the other hand, it provides a good opportunity to better prepare people for new careers. Open P-TECH is a free platform that can be used to share relevant skills in the world learn workplace in this digital age to be successful, she added.
Open P-TECH is a new digital learning experience that gives students and teachers access to the latest technical and professional skills, ”says the P-TECH website. "The tool gives P-TECH students and teachers free access to industry-recognized digital IDs for new technologies and in-demand expertise across all industries represented in the P-TECH network."
The platform, set up by IBM, will help students across Pakistan acquire much-needed knowledge and skills in their relevant fields before entering the job market.
Students can demonstrate their capabilities and acquire e-badges and the like that attract potential employers and university selection committees.
Teachers also have access to activities and lesson plans for their students, making teaching easier and providing them with many technical and professional skills. Teachers also have access to additional administrative functions to improve and monitor their students' learning experiences.
The P-TECH (Pathways to Technology Early College High School) model, first introduced by IBM in 2011, was used in 220 schools in 24 countries with more than 150,000 students and 600 business partners
