No covid death reported in Punjab in Last 24 hours

The number of deaths from the coronavirus in Pakistan is falling across the country. In Punjab's largest province, no deaths from Covid have been reported in the past 24 hours.

The primary and secondary health departments, quoted by the Express Tribune, said the county had registered 58 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the county's number to 95,800.

The coronavirus did not cause any deaths. The death toll is 2,186, ”the daily update said. The spokesperson added that 848,779 tests have been conducted so far, while the number of people recovered from the infection has reached 90,210.

According to the Ministry of Health, 24 cases have been reported in Lahore, 7 in Rajanpur, 6 in Rawalpindi, 4 in Multan and Faisalabad, 3 in Gujranwala and Sheikhupura, 2 in Jhang and 1 in Gujarat, Sargodha, Dera Ghazi Khan. Muzaffargarh and Sahiwal.

On the other hand, the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) reported at least 513 Covid-19 cases from around the country. Eight other deaths have also been reported - seven in Sindh and one in Gilgit-Baltistan - as a result of the infection in the past 24 hours.

The small number of cases and deaths has also raised suspicions, especially the test rate. Pakistan is under continuous testing despite protests from the WHO.

It is being tested at the same level as in early June, although it has the excess capacity to test more. Punjab and KP, in particular, have incredibly low test rates, with Sindh recently responsible for nearly 50% of the test in the country.
