Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas has announced that the electronic transfer to all Punjab teachers will begin on June 10.
In a tweet posted to his social media account on Tuesday, he said the process of e-transfer for all respected Punjab teachers will begin on June 10.

However, he later tweeted that he was shocked by the teachers' request to remove the Student Teacher Ratio (STR) from e-transfers. “So we shouldn't take teachers to schools where they are needed, and allow teachers to go to a school of their choice even when they are not needed. Does that make sense? He asked incredulously.
I am SHOCKED at teachers asking to remove STR (Student Teacher Ratio) from E-Transfers. So we should NOT transfer teachers to schools where they are needed. And allow teachers to go to any school of their choice even if they are NOT needed there. Does this make any SENSE?

According to the Punjab Education Department, e-transfer was introduced by the PTI government to accommodate the maximum number of teachers. "Punjab has changed the minimum duration (to qualify for a transfer) from three in one year," the education department said.
Meanwhile, another meeting took place on Tuesday, chaired by Punjab University Minister Raja Yasir Humayun to review the e-transfer facility for university teachers.
