Japan aids 2.5 billon Pakistan to combat COVID-19

Matsuda Kuinori, the Japanese ambassador to Pakistan, called Federal Finance Minister Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar on Thursday for his office at the Ministry of Finance.

The ambassador informed the minister that the Japanese government has earmarked $ 2.5 billion. Rs in support of Pakistan to contain the COVID-19 pandemic and help the Pakistani people fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Japanese ambassador said that this support will strengthen Pakistan's ability to control the virus and restore the economy. He also hoped that bilateral economic relations between Pakistan and Japan will be strengthened in the future, especially in the export and import substitute industries.

The federal minister thanked and appreciated the Japanese government and the Japanese people for their support in assuring that facilities for more meaningful cooperation would be expanded during the pandemic test period.
