Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed ,Defense Minister Pervez Khattak Prime & Minister of Parliament Ali Muhammad Khan said at a media conference on Thursday, adhoc allowance of 25 percent for all federal employees who work in base pay (BPS) from 1 to 19.
Pervez Khattak said the ad hoc compensation announcement would come later in the day, adding that this benefit would continue pending recommendations from the pay and pension committee. He said provincial governments are also advised to provide ad hoc benefits to their employees.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has instructed the provinces to respond to requests from provincial government officials, he added.

Thousands of government employees gather in Islamabad to seek wages. The cabinet is trying to postpone this issue until June, when the budget for the next financial year will be announced.
Capital management deployed rebel police against the protesters and barricaded the entrances and exits of sensitive buildings, including parliament and the secretariat. Negotiations began Wednesday night after Islamabad police arrested dozens of protesting workers and fired tear gas canisters to disperse them.
The government committee consisted of Interior Minister Shaikh Rasheed Ahmad, Defense Minister Pervez Khattak and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ali Mohammad Khan, while government officials were represented by Rehman Bajwa, Chairman of the All Government Employees Alliance.
Representatives of the provincial officials also attended the discussions. "Negotiations on wage increases have been successful," said Shaikh Rasheed Ahmad.
During the meeting it was decided to release all arrested government employees. " A large number of protesters gathered at the secretariat on Thursday morning, awaiting the government's announcement. "Inflation has risen many times in recent months as we have been forced to continue our work at low wages," Hasan Malik, an official, told the media.
Minister also ordered the Police to release all arrested protesters, whoe were arrested over the employees protest in Islamabad.
Prime Minister Imran Khan's government did not increase civil servants' salaries in the previous EU budget, as has been the case with previous governments.
