The Department of Religious Affairs has asked citizens to report incidents of blasphemy and offensive or sectarian content online to its investigation department for action.
In a statement, a spokesman said he should report such material to the ministry by sending an email to rapportblasphemytomora@gmail.com or on his Facebook page to have it removed and legal action against those responsible. The complaint can also be reported via WhatsApp at + 92-06-333-255-5.
According to the country’s cyber law, posting or sharing offensive content on social media or such electronic medium is a criminal act subject to various sanctions.
