Health ministry launched WhatsApp & Facebook Corona helpline

The Pakistan government has launched a “WhatsApp Corona Helpline” to battle against the wrong information about the Corona Virus pandemic and deliver updates on the country’s world famous messaging service.

Health Ministry has shared the Help line no +923001111166 for reliable information, awareness sessions, and the latest statics of corona patients across the country prior WHO has already has issued an information WhatsApp number to get the latest news and safety precautionary measure and guidelines from the WHO.    

To Get the latest information about COVID-19 outbreak in Pakistan, all users have to save the number in phone directory and type ‘’Hi’’ send it to the saved number, in reply you will get the content list I.e. FAQ choose the relevant query or type the available quires.

As you will type the query, the user will receive the authentic information link or any video message with reliable sources all provided information will be from authentic and verified sources.

The distribution of this hub used to provide the latest information about coronavirus hub is featured to get the latest news and information as well as resources and tips to stay healthy and help their family and community.

It contains real-time updates from national health authorities and international organisations such as the World Health Organisation, as well as beneficial articles, videos and posts about social distancing and preventing the spread of Covid-19.

Users can also follow the information centre to collect updates from state authorities directly in their News Feed.

The social media has also organized a “Messenger Coronavirus Community Hub” (https://www.messenger.com/coronavirus)) with tips and help to keep people connected to their playmates, family, colleagues and community, and prevent the spread of misinformation. It also includes advice on how to recognize and ignore frauds and online misinformation about the COVID-19
