FATF says Pakistan Still Need Improvement

FATF (Financial action task force)reviewed progress made by Pakistan towards implementation of the Action Plan. While acknowledging thesteps taken by Pakistan towards implementation of Action Plan
and welcoming its high level political commitment.

Financial action task force FATF highlighted the need for further actions for completing the Action Plan by June 2020. FATF members agreed to maintain Pakistan's status on FATF's Compliance Document, normally
referred as the Grey List.

Pakistan Finance division made a significant progress in FATF 27 points which was imposed by the last review session. The task forced reviewed the progress made by the Pakistan and appreciated the Pakistan for making a significant progress on the furnished plan. They said Pakistan has to do more till June 2020.

The large no of FATF members acknowledged that Pakistan has made a very significant progress to forbade the counter terrorism financing (CTF).

The Chinese foreign ministry told Pakistan has allowed to take more time to improve the FATF action plan and the China and other countries will provide the maximum support to improve their position.

The finance division told the special assistant Dr Hafeez sheikh thanked to China for their comprehensive support for the Pakistan in FATF meetings.

Pakistan will remain in the Grey list as it was put in June 2018,the task force gave action plan to avoid the listing in black list as the Iran and North Korea.
