Etihad Airways increases flights operations for Pakistan

In response to the improved travel needs, Etihad Airways announced on Monday that flights to Pakistan will increase from July 16.

The airline operates 12 flights a week, seven from Lahore, two from Islamabad and three from Karachi.

Etihad Airways has also released a new travel announcement for passengers from Pakistan, requiring travelers to complete the Covid 19 test within 96 hours of boarding.

Airlines say that only results from coronavirus tests conducted by Chughtai Lab are acceptable.

Meanwhile, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) resumed regular flights to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Thursday.

Passengers must have their Covid 19 samples 48 hours before the travel date.

Travelers can now fly with regular flights from Pakistan to Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

Earlier, the PIA conducted some relief flights to the UAE to repatriate Pakistanis stranded in the country. Now that the PIA has obtained permission, it regularly conducts flights.

Earlier, Etihad Airways had suspended flights to Pakistan after a commercial ban was imposed on March 21 to limit the spread of Covid-19.
