No Pakistani had previously specialized in the above field, Dr. Malik that many people in Pakistan who often have headaches suffer from migraines.
According to one study, about 10 percent of the population has a migraine disease in which a headache affects half of the head.
However, he made it clear that not all headaches can be called migraines, as there are other reasons for the pain as well.
The association professor advised against self-medication and said that headaches have become a routine in society and people usually view pain as the only means of resolving the problem.
While warning people, he said taking excessive painkillers for long periods of time can cause serious complications, including adverse effects on a person's kidneys and liver.
Dr. Malik said people don't take headaches seriously, even though they are common, and called on someone to see the doctor if they get headaches twice every two weeks.
