Covid-19 vaccination card pass application introduced to curb fake certificates

-

The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has introduced the "Pak Covid-19 Vaccination Card Pass App" in collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra).

The application was developed to make it easier for people to carry their digital Covid-19 vaccination card with them. The app allows users to download the Covid vaccination card issued by Nadra and save it on their phone.

The digital certificate is official proof of the Covid-19 vaccination, which is required for national and international travel. The digital certificate can be directly verified with the QR code.

NCOC announced earlier this week that full Covid-19 vaccination certificates will be mandatory for air travel after September 10. The nerve center for the response to the Pakistan virus has also made an important decision to speed up the vaccination process across the country.

The forum announced that the partial vaccination certificate would become invalid after September 10, "notifying all states of this decision". The interval between the first and second dose of all types of vaccines will be shortened from 42 days to 28 days, the forum added.

The decision was made in consultation with the health ministry and medical experts, it said. Earlier this month, the NCOC also announced that from October 1, only vaccinated people will be allowed to travel by train.
