In the initial phase, the app offers six different services, including birth, death, marriage and divorce, as well as a separate area for complaints and suggestions.
The department hopes that more community services will be added soon to make them more pragmatic and dynamic and to provide governments with the platform to increase their reach and impact.
The sudden shift seems to have taken several government sectors out of their inertia and forced them to think outside the box. However, any change can be turned into an opportunity through strategic planning and effective implementation.
Digitization has become indispensable when it comes to meeting people's special needs, in addition to being economical and practical.
Unfortunately, a large percentage of Pakistan's population does not know how to operate technological devices. Moreover, those in the poor class don't have smart devices and those in remote areas have poor connectivity.
Therefore, it is humbly suggested not to give up the existing certification and registration mechanism to facilitate those who do not have access.
