Aamir Liaqat Husain Submits the resignation over electricity issue

Aamir Liaquat Husain, a Pakistani MNA from Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from Karachi, has decided to resign and submitted resignation Minister Imran Khan over a lengthy unannounced blackout in the Karachi city.

In a tweet released Thursday, Husain said he could not bear the suffering for the people of Karachi in general and his constituents in particular.

He also announced that he had requested a meeting with the Prime Minister to present his resignation.

Moonis Alvi, CEO of K-Electric, blamed national energy policies in 2013 on Wednesday, saying the errors were due to power theft.
