Three new airlines have applied to the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for approval for scheduled public transport (RPT) for domestic flights through Pakistan.
Three new airlines, Q-Airlines, Fly Jinnah and Jet Green Airlines, reportedly received CAA clearance on Friday to operate domestic flights in the country.

Sources familiar with the development said the review of two Q airlines and Fly Jinnah has been completed, while Jet Green Airlines is still reviewing the review process.
After review, two cases were sent to the aviation department and if approved by the federal cabinet, they would receive RPT licenses.
The case of the third-party carrier will also be forwarded to the aviation department after review, the sources said.
CAA laws require new airlines to operate three aircraft domestic flights for at least one year. After the deadline, they are allowed to operate international flights.
It should be noted that three private airlines, Airblue, SereneAir and AirSial, are already operating in Pakistan, and once three new airlines are approved, six private airlines will be operating in the country.
