Students will be promoted to next levels as per previous results says Shafqat Mehmood

The federal government has announced it will withdraw all high school degrees examinations for fear of coronavirus and promoted the students for the next levels.

Federal Minister of Education Shafqat Mehmood announced this on Thursday during a joint press conference with the federal cabinet in the presence of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Shafqat Mehmood also said, all existing class students will be promoted to the next cader as per thier year results.

Shafqat Mehmood said the health and safety of students and honored teachers is a priority for the government. It cannot make a decision that endangers their lives.

That is why it was decided to cancel exams for students of the 9th, 1st and 2nd year for the 2019-20 academic year. All students are promoted to the next grade based on an average grading system and monitor their past performance.

He also announced that educational institutions across the country will remain closed until July 15. Under the previous decision, schools would reopen on June 1, but some counties are reluctant to open schools once the coronavirus drop increases.

This announcement also shared by the Punjab provincial minster for education Murad Ras all private and government schools shall closed till the july 15 2020.

He said it was a mutual decision taken during a video conference with all provincial education ministers.
